Let’s talk about whey protein. You know, that powder stuff that guys working out put in their shaker bottles. What even is whey protein, you ask? Well, I’m happy to answer! When cheese or yogurt is made from milk, the liquid left behind is whey. Milk is made up of two main proteins, whey and casein, which contain all the amino acids needed by your body. Whey protein is a fast-digesting protein that has been shown to increase the production of new protein in your muscles. So that’s why those big muscly guys take it! Now, this is lean tissue mass, so women, don’t be afraid of supplementing with whey protein. You won’t get all big and bulky. We don’t have the testosterone for that. I always hear women say, I already have big arms, I don’t want them bigger! But that’s not how it works. We need to build that lean muscle in our arms so that it can burn all the fat that is making our arms look big. I hope I don’t offend anyone, but it’s like Al Bundy told Peggy when she asked him if the dress she was wearing made her look fat. He responded, it’s not the dress that makes you look fat, it’s the fat that makes you look fat! Lol, gotta love that show.
